Stella loves to dance. From an early age our home has been her own personal studio full of tutus, pirouettes and plies. My wife and I knew that we had to nurture her innate love of dance. We asked around, googled and read many reviews. We decided upon Jennifer’s Jazz it Up mainly due to its proximity, but also because Stella loves all things pink and glittery.
The first year flew by. Stella adored her teacher and the nurturing environment of JJIU. From day one, Stella was always built up by her teachers who blended a wonderful combination of praise and encouragement into their dance instruction. Recital time came and went and of course we were beaming with pride. However, seeing Stella in one dance wasn’t enough…we wanted to see more…she wanted to learn more.
We were invited to a meeting with Miss Jennifer to discuss the possibility of Stella joining the pre-competitive team. Stella was to be introduced to an additional two styles of dance and attend a competition in May. Stella discovered her passion for tap. It was during her first year in pre-comp where her love of dance truly blossomed.
JJIU builds kids up. Stella is confident, outgoing and proud of her dance accomplishments. We attribute this to many things that she gets from dancing at JJIU. Her dance peers have become some of her best friends. Her instructors have become some of the most positive role models in her life.
We are excited to see where dance will take Stella. As she follows where her passion leads her, we are excited to know that JJIU will always be the foundation of that passion. Judging by the almost 20 years of success that JJIU has experienced, we know that she is in good hands. We have and will continue to recommend Jennifer’s Jazz it Up to any of our friends and families looking to bring the gift of dance into their children’s lives.
