Our studio Director Mrs. Jennifer Mercer was recently named Port Hope’s Outstanding Citizen for her incredible contributions to our community.

Inside Look
Our facility is second to none. Our state-of-the-art dance studio is located on private property for the safety and well-being of our dancers. Our facility is beautiful, clean and inspiring. But, JJIU is not just a pretty space. We have state-of-the-art technology including blue tooth surround sound inside and outside, blue tooth microphones for our instructors, and our door lock is even thumbprint activated. We have professionally sprung dance floors for the safety, wellbeing and longevity of our dancer’s bodies. Having a safe, clean space for our dancers to come and go in privacy is important. Parents always comment on how clean the studio is and how it always smells so nice. Cleanliness is important, not just for the aesthetics of our studio but for the hygiene, health and wellbeing of our dancers. Our studio has central air and high-powered fans to keep us cool as we train. We also have a fireplace in the lobby to keep us cozy during the long winter months. Our private property boasts almost 4 acres of beautiful space along with ample parking for our dance parents. We are also home to our sister companies Empower Talent, Music, Sports and Hypnosis. Our space is multi-functional.
Our waiting room is the perfect space for parents to come, put their feet up and relax. We understand what it is like to live the busy life of a parent. We created a space for you to feel comfortable, for you to relax and enjoy listening to the giggles of our dancers having the best time!

This is Remy’s Story💕
JJIU is not your average dance studio. Yes, we teach high-quality dance classes with qualified, experienced dance teachers. But we are so much more than that. We are a growth mindset, inspiring and often life-changing culture. See this little girl in Mrs. Jennifer’s arms? This is Remy. Remy came to us after having a stroke and was told by doctors that dance was one of the only safe activities she could do. Her mother called other dance studios and was met with resistance. At JJIU we have 25 years of working with children of all abilities. Remy was shy, didn’t make eye contact and was nervous (and so was mom, rightfully so) We implemented our “baby steps” system and gradually integrated her into our class. Always taking it one step at a time until both Mom and Remy were comfortable. Now sweet Remy is a thriving, confident little girl who can’t wait to come into class with the biggest smile on her face. We are not just a dance studio. We are a part of our dancer’s life journey to self-discovery. This is simply one example of the thousands of children Mrs. Jennifer and JJIU have had an impact on throughout their 25 years in business.

We are part of a supportive and vibrant community that nurtures creativity, confidence, and lifelong friendships. Create - After all we are a creative industry. We have original custom choreography for each class. No 2 routines are the same. Our teachers pride themselves in coming up with original creative material.
Inspire - Each generation learns from the next. It’s truly inspiring to watch our younger dancers look up to our older dancers. Our older dancers are amazing role models and are our younger dancer’s biggest cheerleaders.
Difference Makers - Some things come and go in our lives and some things can have a major impact in helping shape who you become. At JJIU we have had a positive impact on thousands of our communitys children. Making a difference in their lives on and off the stage.
